Metrolinx is accepting Tenders for to Construction of a Temporary Station and Platform Extension at Oriole GO Station.

A Mandatory Site Meeting will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday May 4th  at Metrolinx’s Oriole GO Station. Failure of Contractor to be present and registered from the time the meeting is called to order until the meeting is adjourned will result in disqualification from bidding.
Contractors must wear hard hats, safety boots, safety vests and have safety glasses with them at the site meeting(s).  Failure to satisfy these requirements will result in exclusion from the site.

Each Tender must be accompanied by a bid deposit in the amount of $200,000.00 in the form of a bid bond or certified cheque payable to Metrolinx.

Sealed Tenders will be accepted until 3:00 p.m. on May 19th, 2017 at the same Procurement and Contract Services Office, and will be opened by Metrolinx staff as soon as is practicable after the designated Tender Closing Time. Details on where and when vendors can obtain information on bids received, prices bid and contract awards will be specified in each tender document.

Please note, effective Monday, February 10th, 2014 for any newly issued tenders Metrolinx will no longer be conducting Public Openings.

Only Contractors who possess the following experience and qualifications will be considered for award of this Contract:

• The Bidder has be CORTM “Registered” status with IHSA.
• The Bidder shall retain the services of a Design Consultant responsible to coordinate and develop the Preliminary Design through the Design Development Process. The Design Consultant shall have satisfactorily designed three (3) Metrolinx projects of similar scope, magnitude and complexity as the Work of this Contract
• The bidder shall have three (3) completed reference projects in Sections 2.1 through 2.3 below involving work on the railway right-of-way including Canadian National Railway projects; work related to platform extensions or rehabilitation which include installation or upgrades to fare systems, communication systems, CCTV, PA or lighting.
