Metrolinx is accepting Submissions for Hudson’s Bay Basement Modification – Ontario Line
A Mandatory Site Meeting will be held at Wednesday December 8, 2021@ 7:00 A.M.
**There will be an additional Mandatory Site Visit on Thursday January 13th, 2022 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Any Bidders who attended the previous Mandatory Site Visit on December 8, 2021 are not required to attend this session but may do so if you are interested.**
******Refer to the Tender document on location and instructions regarding a COVID 19 measures screening sheet and release of liability form to be completed and submitted to the Procurement Representative prior to this Mandatory Information Meeting.
**** Bidders must have full PPE including including safety vest, safety hat, safety eyewear, safety gloves, safety boots (CSA Green triangle) and a face mask
Failure of Contractor to be present and registered from the time the meeting is called to order until the meeting is adjourned will result in disqualification from the procurement process.
All Bidders, their employees, agents, Subcontractors and Suppliers, shall wear appropriate safety wear as per above at all times while they are on the site. Failure to comply shall result in exclusion from the site resulting in the consequences stated in Section 3.1 herein.
Please be advised that, as per the October 1, 2019 changes to the Construction Act, RSO 1990, c C30, the Terms and Conditions in the Form of Tender for this solicitation contain new requirements.
Each Submission must be accompanied by a bid deposit in the amount of $500,000.00 in the form of a bid bond payable to Metrolinx.
ELECTRONIC BID SUBMISSION will be accepted until 3:00 p.m. on Friday February 4th, 2022.

Your Submission for this opportunity must be sent to Metrolinx through the use of MetrolinxMERX EBS. Bidders shall be solely responsible for the delivery of their Submission using MetrolinxMERX EBS by the Closing, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
Only Contractors who possess the following experience and qualifications will be considered for award of this Contract:

- satisfactorily completed three (3) contracts for work similar in scope, magnitude and complexity as "the Work of this Contract"; and
- achieved at least 1 of the following safety requirements:
- COR™ Certified status with the Infrastructure Health and Safety Association (IHSA); or
- ISO 45001 certification; or
- Out-of-Province COR™ Reciprocity (for bidding purposes only) through IHSA. For more information on COR™ Reciprocity please reference the IHSA website at https://www.ihsa.ca.
- CORTM Certified status with the Infrastructure Health and Safety Association (IHSA); or
- ISO 45001 certification; or
- Out-of-Province CORTM Reciprocity (for bidding purposes only) through IHSA.
- The Bidder or its designated subcontractor shall have satisfactorily completed two (2) Demolition projects with work similar in scope, magnitude and complexity as "the Work of this Contract
- The Bidder or its designated subcontractor shall have satisfactorily completed two (2) Civil & Structural projects with work similar in scope, magnitude and complexity as "the Work of this Contract
- The Bidder or its designated subcontractor shall have satisfactorily completed two (2) Mechanical projects with work similar in scope, magnitude and complexity as "the Work of this Contract
- The Bidder or its designated subcontractor shall have satisfactorily completed two (2) Electrical projects with work similar in scope, magnitude and complexity as "the Work of this Contract
- The Bidder or its designated subcontractor shall have satisfactorily completed two (2) Architectural projects with work similar in scope, magnitude and complexity as "the Work of this Contract
Metrolinx reserves the right to reject any or all Submissions at its sole discretion.
