Metrolinx is accepting Tenders for the Construction of the Stouffville Corridor Community Site Office. Metrolinx has purchased an existing structure at 4142 unit B Sheppard Ave with the intent to renovate the facilities to serve as the Stouffville Community and Site office to accommodate the following functions;

Serve as the field office for the Stouffville CPG group and Community Relations;
Provide an open office workspace for groups identified above;
Accommodate a community meeting space to facilitate information sessions;
Provide space to conduct construction meetings;
Contain storage areas to accommodate presentation materials as well as construction documentation for Stouffville Corridor projects.

A Mandatory Site Meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday July 8, 2016 at 4142 Unit A Sheppard Ave. Scarborough, ON (Sheppard Avenue East between Kennedy and Midland) Contractors are to meet in front of the building. This shall be the only opportunity for Contractors and Subcontractors to view the electrical and communication rooms, as well as take any required measurements at this location. Please ensure you bring any measuring tools that may be required.
All Bidders, their employees, agents, Subcontractors and Suppliers, shall wear appropriate safety wear at all times while they are on the site including hardhats, safety vests, safety shoes and protective eyewear that might be required. Failure to comply shall result in exclusion from the site.

Failure of Bidder to be present and registered from the time the meeting is called to order until the meeting is adjourned will result in disqualification from bidding.
Each Tender must be accompanied by a bid deposit in the amount of $75,000.00 in the form of a bid bond or certified cheque payable to Metrolinx.
ELECTRONIC BID SUBMISSION will be accepted until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday August 4, 2016.

Your Submission for this opportunity must be sent to Metrolinx through the use of MERX EBS. Bidders shall be solely responsible for the delivery of their Submission using MERX EBS by the Closing, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
Only Bidders who possess the following experience and qualifications will be considered for award of this Contract:

The Bidder shall be COR “Registered” with IHSA;
shall have satisfactorily completed two (2) projects involving office renovations of similar scope, size value (based on Bidders bid price) and complexity to the “Work of this Contract”; and
the physical and financial resources to sustain and complete the Work.

Metrolinx reserves the right to reject any or all Tenders at its sole discretion.
