Metrolinx is accepting Submissions for the Supply and Installation of Control Room Consoles – GO Transit Control Centre

Metrolinx is a crown agency of the Government of Ontario under the Metrolinx Act, 2006, reporting to the Ministry of Transportation. It was created to improve the coordination and integration of all modes of transportation in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA). Metrolinx’s mandate includes delivering the best possible transportation services today while leading the way to an even better, more convenient service tomorrow; making the best possible use of public transportation investment dollars; and measurably improving the quality of life in the region.

Metrolinx is currently constructing a new GO Transit Control Centre (GTCC). The facility will be located at the northwest corner of Trafalgar Road and Cornwall Road in the Town of Oakville, Ontario, and is adjacent to the Oakville GO Station Parking. The Construction contract to build the GTCC was signed between Metrolinx and Canadian Turner Construction Company (General Contractor) with construction currently ongoing.

Metrolinx is issuing this Request for Proposal to retain a Proponent to provide the design, manufacture, storage, delivery, site coordination, site assembly, commission, and warranty of all the Control Room Consoles at the GTCC.
The successful Proponent of this Request for Proposal will be required to sign a Contract with Canadian Turner Construction Company for the supply and installation of the Control Room Consoles.

It is the Proponent’s responsibility to ensure receipt of copies of all addenda issued, and submit a signed copy of any and all addenda issued, with its Submission. Information concerning the number of addenda issued and the date of issue of the most recent addendum can be found at www.merx.com.
Responses to the Request for Proposal will be accepted until 3:00 p.m. EST on Thursday, July 21, 2016 through Electronic Bid Submission (EBS) at MERX.

Metrolinx reserves the right to reject any or all Submissions at its sole discretion.
