Metrolinx is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) to retain the services of a Vendor to provide the goods and/or services described herein. Metrolinx intends to notify a Proponent of acceptance of its Submission and enter into a Contract through an open, fair and competitive process.
Metrolinx is accepting Submissions for RFP-2020-BUSO-180, as more particularly described in this Proposal Document as required by Metrolinx for Supply and Delivery of Frontline Uniform.
Metrolinx is a crown agency of the Government of Ontario under the Metrolinx Act, 2006, reporting to the Ministry of Transportation. It was created to improve the coordination and integration of all modes of transportation in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA). The Metrolinx mandate includes delivering the best possible transportation services today while leading the way to an even better, more convenient service tomorrow; making the best possible use of public transportation investment dollars; and measurably improving the quality of life in the region.
Metrolinx has approximately 1600 employees that require uniforms and all the front line employees are all required to wear uniforms that identify them as Metrolinx staff. Metrolinx is seeking a qualified uniform supplier (“Vendor”) to provide the supply and delivery of uniforms for Metrolinx, including but not limited to uniform procurement, inventory management and warehousing, order processing and distribution service.
The objective of this RFP is to provide Metrolinx with the ability to purchase Uniform Products and Services to satisfy their requirements.
The purpose of this RFP process is to:
- Ensure Product/Service availability and delivery of Products/Services within the agreed lead time;
- Provide high quality Customer support and account management, ensuring timely response and issue resolution;
- Provide quality Products manufactured in accordance with applicable standards, demonstrating value for money;
- Provide quality Services.

Your Submission for this opportunity must be sent to Metrolinx through the use of MetrolinxMERX EBS. Bidders shall be solely responsible for the delivery of their Submission using MetrolinxMERX EBS by the Closing, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
Only Consultant who possess the following experience and qualifications will be considered for award of this Contract:
- Ten (10) years of experience in supply of frontline work wear uniforms.
Metrolinx reserves the right to reject any or all Submissions at its sole discretion.
