Metrolinx is accepting Tenders for Construction of Galt North Reinstatement and Galt South Realignment

A Mandatory Site Meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m.  on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at 2 Hook Avenue, M6P 1T4, located at Hook Avenue and Watkinson Avenue)

Bidder are to enter through Gate M4 (near the right of way), and park inside of the compound.

Failure of Bidder to be present and registered from the time the meeting is called to order until the meeting is adjourned will result in disqualification from bidding.

Bidders must wear hard hats, safety footwear, safety vests and have safety glasses with them at the site meeting.  Failure to satisfy these requirements will result in exclusion from the site.

Each Tender must be accompanied by a bid deposit in the amount of $200,000.00 in the form of a bid bond or certified cheque payable to Metrolinx.

ELECTRONIC BID SUBMISSION will be accepted until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 23, 2016.

Your Submission for this opportunity must be sent to Metrolinx through the use of MERX EBS. Bidders shall be solely responsible for the delivery of their Submission using MERX EBS by the Closing, in accordance with the  Instructions to Bidders.
 
Only Bidders who possess the following experience and qualifications will be considered for award of this Contract:

• The Bidder shall be CORTM “Registered” status with IHSA;
• The Bidder shall have satisfactorily completed two (2) projects, similar in scope, size (minimum of 1km in length of track), complexity and value (based on the Bidder’s Total Contract Price), which collectively demonstrate that the Bidder has self-performed civil works in an active Railway Right-of-Way, including the management and coordination of utility relocations, signals relocation and fibre optic relocation.  
• satisfactorily completed three (3) projects in the sole opinion of Metrolinx, a contract for work similar in scope, size value (based on Bidders bid price) and complexity and in nature as “the Work of this Contract; and
•   the physical and financial resources to sustain and complete the Work.
