Metrolinx is accepting Submissions for Prequalification of Construction of Barrie Railway Corridor Enabling Works Mile 21.10 to Mile 29.17 and King City GO Station Improvements
ELECTRONIC BID SUBMISSION will be accepted until 3:00:00 p.m. on August 6, 2019.

***NOTE: ELECTRONIC BID SUBMISSION Your Submission for this opportunity must be sent to Metrolinx through the use of MERX EBS. Bidders shall be solely responsible for the delivery of their Submission using MERX EBS by the Closing, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.

Only Contractorsi who possess the following experience and qualifications will be considered for award of this Contract:
o The necessary resources to sustain and complete the Work to the satisfaction of Metrolinx;
o Fifteen (15) years of demonstrated experience in heavy civil, earthworks and grading construction;
o Fifteen (15) years of demonstrated experience of working in an active rail corridor environment;
o Fifteen (15) years of demonstrated experience of working in within an active public infrastructure facility (ie: transit station) with construction concurrent to operations;
o Demonstrated experience working on projects where adjoining properties and the surrounding community may be sensitive to the Work to be provided, and a demonstrated ability to address concerns promptly and fairly;
o Demonstrated experience working with utilities companies and municipal or provincial regulatory bodies to obtain permits required for the Work.
o Working with utility companies to protect and relocate underground and overhead utilities;
o Working with municipalities to modify road carrying structures; and
o Working with Conservation Authorities.

The Proponent must provide one of the following:
 Proof that the Proponent has Certificate of Recognition (COR) “Registered” Status with the Infrastructure Health and Safety Association (IHSA) (see Section 3 COR Certification of Governance Process). A
screen shot of the Proponent’s “Certified” Status.
 OHSAS 18001 certification.
 A valid Out-of-Province COR Certified status and has initiated the process to obtain COR Certified status in Ontario through IHSA.
 The Proponent must provide the required Certificate of Publication of Substantial Performance to demonstrate that they have successfully completed construction work within an active rail corridor environment in the last five (5) years.

Metrolinx reserves the right to reject any or all Submissions at its sole discretion.
