Metrolinx is accepting Tenders for construction of Richmond Hill GO Station and Platform Rehabilitation.

A Mandatory Site Meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m. on August 1, 2018 at the Richmond Hill GO Station located at 6 Newkirk Road at the northeast corner of the intersection of Major Mackenzie Drive and Newkirk Road, in Richmond Hill, Ontario.

Failure of a Bidder to register and be present from the time the meeting is called to order until the meeting is adjourned will automatically result in the suspension of the Bidder’s eligibility to submit a Submisson for the Work.

Bidders must wear appropriate hard hats, safety boots, safety vests and have safety glasses with them at the site meeting.  Failure to satisfy these requirements will result in exclusion from the site.

Each Tender must be accompanied by a bid deposit in the amount of $500,000.00 payable to Metrolinx. Further details are described in the Instructions to Bidders of the Tender Documents.

Your Submission for this opportunity must be sent to Metrolinx through the use of MERX EBS. Bidders shall be solely responsible for the delivery of their Submission using MERX EBS by the Closing, in accordance with the  Instructions to Bidders.

Only Bidders who possess the following experience and qualifications will be considered for award of this Contract:

• The Bidder must has achieved CORTM Certified status with IHSA;  
• The Bidder shall have satisfactorily completed, in the sole opinion of Metrolinx, three (3) projects for work similar in scope, magnitude and complexity as “the Work of this Contract” for projects in an active transit station facility that continues to operate during construction of which one (1) of the three (3) projects must demonstrate experience in an active CN Rail Right-of-Way.
• The Bidder, or its designated Mechanical Subcontractor, shall have satisfactorily completed, in the sole opinion of Metrolinx, three (3) projects of similar scope, magnitude and complexity as “the Work of this Contract” in an active transit station facility that continues to operate during construction.
• The Bidder, or its designated Electrical  Subcontractor, shall have satisfactorily completed, in the sole opinion of Metrolinx, a minimum of three (3)  projects of similar scope, magnitude, and complexity as “the Work of this Contract” involving heavy industrial 600 volt electrical applications.
